Our team is growing
We are seeking people with qualifications and experience in:
- psychology
- social work
- mental health nursing
- occupational therapy.
You will work within the Barwon prison precinct, which includes Marngoneet Correctional Centre (and its annexe, Karreenga), Barwon Prison, and the new state-of-the-art Western Plains Correctional Centre. These facilities are adjacent, meaning you can perform your vital work without extensive travel.
This is a rare chance to be part of a groundbreaking team setting new standards for forensic intervention in the justice system.
The work is challenging but meaningful. You will be supported by an experienced team dedicated to helping people continually make small but significant changes in their behaviour.
Success in this space can be career defining. Many staff members have progressed to leadership roles within corrections. Others have used their experience as a springboard to secure new opportunities in their field of expertise.
